Slowing Down

What's A Girl To Do on a Slow Week? I've been fairly busy so far - it has been 2 months that I left home. How time flies! I've really seen & done a lot without it being at a brutal pace. So I decided to stick around the flat more and do research on future adventures. Not only am I looking for my next flat or cottage, but other activities as well.  I did take another trip this week around Loch Awe & to the local church, St. Conans Kirk..  I've been through this town every time I've driven north & it has held a draw for me.  It's about 35 miles from Oban and the loch is 60 miles to drive around it.  Half of it is on a single track road.  But there is also a village called Awe where Clan Campbell has had properties and a presence over the years.  Not too far from Inverary. This area is so beautiful surrounded by small farms.  It's funny. I will stop just to watch the animals. They in turn, stop and stare at me.  The coo began yelling and ...

All Roads Lead To....

  Where Ever I happen to Go... Many of you know that in my professional life I was ruled by the calendar and clock.  I supervised multi-million dollar projects making certain they were in budget and on time. So when I went on vacation, I did not want to be ruled by the clock. Quite the opposite in fact. It was bad enough that wherever I went I looked for ideas and opportunities for my clients or projects. But there'd be a small plan what was to be accomplished during the trip. My over-achieving work life is one of the main reasons why I don't do long tour things with big groups. Not only do I prefer to experience things in small groups, but I also do not like to be tied to a strict structure - like getting up too early (I'm a night owl) or having to rush off to the next thing  I suppose it's the reason why I do enjoy traveling alone so much.   One of the biggest blessings of my adventure is that I don't have to be in a hurry - having the luxury of not needing so...
