T-Minus 21 Days

It Seemed Like A Far Away Dream...

A long time ago this girl had a dream of living in another country - United Kingdom.  I had pen pals when I was young and loved how they described their home.  I have gravitated to the history and culture.  And then I found my people in Scotland.  Ancestry Dot Com says so.  so It must be true right?  But in all seriousness, I have always had a connection.  It started by joining the Alaska Scottish Club.  And then volunteering for the Highland Games committees.  I helped out in marketing, public relations, merchandise, producing the program, and corporate sponsorships.
I became to respect how much they value family, working together, and really enjoying having a good time.  The epitome of working hard and playing hard!  Once again, my people!

I talked my sisters into a trip for all 3 of us in 2016.  We had a fantastic time! It never felt like a vacation.  It felt....well quite frankly, just so RIGHT.  I decided before I left that I would come again soon.

so I made the trip by myself in 2017.  It was glorious.  I knew before I left that I would be back.
**Anyone watch Victoria on PBS?  She visits this castle in Season 2 Ep 4. She & Albert get lost in Scotland and spend the night with locals!

And then came a lay-off and new job.  The new job kept me from going back in 2018 and 2019.  Then along came COVID where I received another lay off.  I was exhausted and burnt out.  More job hunting could not be contemplated.  It turned out to be a gift.  Because we never know where the blessings may come from, right?

So I was asked, "What are you going to do now?"  I thought about what I really wanted.  And that took a little bit.  so I began to plan....
