It's November!
It's November Already
Hard to believe it's November already - time has gone by so quickly. It's been a bit quiet from the bucket this week. Most of my Fall seasons have been in Alaska - where they are usually very fast. Here in Scotland, it has been more gradual and colorful.
I did stop into Oban Chocolate Company while on the way out of town. My friend Mark said that I should not leave Oban without going there for a treat. The coffee & treat was very good! Stop by whenever you are in Oban It's right across from the harbor which is a superb location.
Talking about drive-abouts and walk-abouts, I have taken just a few pics this week.
Dunollie Castle - closed for the season
I've begun making other plans for the season. Many of you know I will be headed to London over Thanksgiving (obviously not celebrated here) to attend Cabaret starring Eddie Redmayne. I'll be staying for a couple of days and decided to fly rather than drive or take the train (faster & cheaper). I December, I have booked a Murder Mystery weekend over New Year's in Warwickshire. Last time my table won first prize. So wish me luck!
After my time in Oban has ended, I will be moving on to Northumberland (very Northern England) to stay in a country cottage for 5 weeks. Then I will make my way north back to Scotland - I have found another cottage south of Edinburgh. I will stay there until Valentine's Day and my trip back to the US where I'll be visiting Santa Fe, NM for my annual women's spiritual retreat and then a visit with my sister in Palm Springs.
Another shot out my living room window the other night
There was a fireworks display over the harbor tonight. I was able to capture several of the explosions.
Oíche mhaith to you all!
Great to hear your tales!
